Privacy Policy for RateTier

This page explains how RateTier handles information in the current v1 release. It is written to match the app's current behavior and to provide a stable public privacy policy URL for the app and App Store review.

Information We Collect

RateTier is designed to work without account creation or sign-in. In v1, the app stores the selected province, utility, plan, and alert preferences locally on the device so it can show the appropriate reference rate information and notification settings.

RateTier does not collect analytics events, advertising identifiers, tracking data, or location data through the app in v1.

If you choose to contact support at support@maavu.net, you may choose what information to include in that email, such as your device details, app version, screenshots, or a description of the issue.

How RateTier Uses Information

The locally stored selections and alert preferences are used only to operate the app on your device, including showing the current rate state, the next change when available, and your local alert configuration.

If you email support, the information you send is used only to review, troubleshoot, and respond to your request.

Notifications

RateTier supports optional local notifications in v1. These notifications are configured on your device and are scheduled locally by the app.

RateTier does not use a backend push notification server in v1.

Data Sharing

RateTier does not share app usage data with analytics providers, ad networks, or tracking services in v1 because those SDKs and services are not part of the current release.

If you choose to email support, the information you include in that message is shared with Maavu Technologies Inc. so the company can respond to you.

Data Retention

Plan selection and alert preferences remain on your device until you change them or remove the app.

Support emails may be retained in the company inbox for follow-up and normal support record keeping.

Your Choices

You can use RateTier without creating an account or providing location access. You can also choose whether to enable notifications.

If you do not want to send support information, do not email support. If you want to remove locally stored app preferences from your device, you can change them in the app or remove the app from your device.

Children's Privacy

RateTier v1 does not require account creation and does not collect analytics or tracking data through its core app experience.

If you believe personal information was sent to Maavu Technologies Inc. by a child through a support email, contact support@maavu.net and the request can be reviewed.

Third-Party Services

RateTier v1 does not include third-party analytics, advertising, attribution, or tracking SDKs.

If you choose to send a support email, your message is sent using your own email app or email provider rather than an in-app support system.

Changes to This Policy

This policy may be updated if the app's privacy or data-handling behavior changes. When that happens, the effective date on this page will also be updated.
